Why Tamworth Tile Roofs Come Back to Life Instead of Coming Off
- Stewart has walked concrete tile roofs for over 20 years — he reads tile brittleness by sound and step before a single pallet of replacements is ordered.
- Slipped, cracked and lifted tiles are swapped for profile-matched stock, so you don't end up with a patchwork of three different tile shapes.
- Every ridge and hip is stripped of failed cement and re-bedded where the mortar has gone hollow, not just skimmed over.
- A dedicated primer/sealer coat soaks into porous tile so the colour coats bond instead of peeling in sheets two summers later.
- Two full membrane top coats are sprayed at manufacturer film build — measured, not guessed — which is what makes the 7-year guarantee possible.
- Solar panels, whirlybirds, gutters and garden beds are masked and washed down before we leave; the only change you should see is the roof.

Tiled Roof Restoration FAQs
Will restoring my tiles actually stop the leaks?
If the leaks are coming from cracked pointing, slipped tiles or failed valleys — which is the case on the large majority of Tamworth tile roofs — then yes. Restoration addresses all three. If water is entering through rotten battens or a structural sag, paint won't fix that and Stewart will tell you before you spend a cent.
How long does a tile restoration take?
A standard single-storey home is three to five working days spread across the repair, clean and coating stages, with drying time between coats. Weather moves that around — we won't spray a roof that's about to cop a Tamworth storm.
Can I change the colour of my tile roof?
Yes. The membrane system comes in a full colour range, so a faded terracotta-look concrete tile can go charcoal, monument, slate or stay in a warm tone. We'll leave sample cards on site so you can look at them against your brickwork in daylight.
